Mission, Goal and Membership

The Mission of the Britannia Social Club is to bring together British and British Commonwealth expatriates and ‘Britophiles’ in the Greater Houston area to meet and have fun in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual support, with an emphasis on the social aspect.

The goal of the BSC is to organise many entertaining events and activities on a regular basis. The BSC will include a broad range of events, such as parties, social nights, card nights, pub nights, dart nights, theatre, museums, concerts, sports events, comedy club nights, the arts or book clubs, and special holiday events. The members can determine which events they wish to attend. BSC is focused on the Houston area, but occasionally will go a little further a field for trips.  

Membership is open to British expatriates, persons of British descent, spouses of Brit’s, as well as many other cultural backgrounds, and those that simply enjoy good company and "things British". BSC welcomes all kinds of people, and doesn't target any particular age range or business group. Everything is "Dutch treat" - everyone pays their own way, e.g. movie tickets, theatre tickets, sports events tickets, food/beverages, etc. (Remember, there's power in numbers - group rates usually apply for special events!)
